I will mention the security issues as the last part for ZigBee RF4CE networks. A cryptographic mechanism is applied for protection. Following security services are provided by this mechanism: data confidentiality (transmitted data could only be revealed to the related recipient), data authenticity (recipient knows that the data is arriving from a reliable source) and replay protection (makes sure that a reliable transmission cannot be replicated by an eavesdropping spy device). Devices at the both ends generate 128-bit cryptographic keys and store them in their own pairing table for future use.
